Dzĩ
Red
Usage
Use it to name or point out the colour red. In scripture it describes red-dyed thread and skins
Grammar Note
The nasal vowel ĩ matters: without the tilde dzi means “heart”, a different word. It is also used to describe things dyed red.
Ɣi
White
Usage
Use it to name or point out the colour white
Grammar Note
ɣi is “white” and differs from ɣe “sun”. The letter ɣ is its own letter, not g.
Yibɔ
Black
Usage
Use it to name or point out the colour black
Grammar Note
yibɔ is “black”. The final ɔ is the open o, a separate letter from o. It also occurs in a word for people, so do not apply it to a person.
